~Up Close & Personal~

I love people's faces, especially when the camera is real up close and personal, capturing a look you just don't see often.

With this particular subject I was actually taking pictures of her before and after hair that I did and then she allowed me to go all "photographer" on her take some other shots. She had no clue I went this intimate on her. But I just love how in one picture she can look so radiantly beautiful, pensive, somber and magnetic all at the same time. I was just so drawn to her face!

Another face I could not resist was that of this subject. She's my my niece (best friend's daughter). I was taking pictures of her at the park one day and got her to pose for some pictures. It was bitter cold outside and that's why her cheeks and nose are all rosy. But my favorite part is the fact that getting up close to her face made her look way younger than her actual age. Here she looks about 4 or 5 years old.....when she was 8 at the time.

With this subject she was a natural poser and I wanted her to shake that off. She's a really cute kid and for being as young as she was I was surprised that she knew how to "model pose" as much as she did. But I'm not into that style of photography, so this shot I finally captured as I got in close enough and as she looked away I got the shot that I wanted. A photo that showed her beauty, poise, determination and potential as a young lady. That's why I love this face.

This subject is another makeover client. She has the most amazing eyes and eyelashes, but that's not showcased in this photo as you can see. If you want to see her gorgeous eyes, go see the rest of her photos on my hairstyling blog. But the reason I love this face is the combination of her makeup job (tee hee) and simply the pensive look on her gorgeous face. 'Nuff said.

You wouldn't know it by looking at this sweet innocent looking little boy that he was actually a rambunctious little maniac that wouldn't sit still for even 5 seconds! This is why I love this face. In a few seconds I was able to capture his innocence as he looked into my eyes through the camera lens. So peaceful. So serene. So poetic.....
So insane was that photo shoot! lol!
But I love that face!
